Taur

"The majestic being stood in front of me, easily towering above my head. The four strong legs could easily trample me, and yet I felt safe in front of this gentle person." Tourist in front of a Sheep-Taur.
The term Taur is generally used for all human-like species with an inhuman lower body part. While human-like species have two legs, Taurs often have very different lower body parts. They can generally split into three categories: Four-Leg Taur, Tail Taur, and Monsterous Taur. All have in common that their upper body is very human-like and has most often two arms, a normal human-like head, and appearance, while their lower bodies are very different from humans, often looking like a merge of a human and a monster.
Taur can be a description for a whole species, like
Mermaids or
Centaurs, or for certain subspecies or individuals of species like a Sheep-Taur of the
Sheep-Human species.
Four-Leg Taur
Having the lower body of a typical herd animal like that of a horse or cow, combined with the upper body of a human. They are generally very fast and strong and have vast endurance. The most commonly known examples of Four-Leg taurs are
Centaurs. Most animal like species like
Sheep-Human,
Fox-Human or
Wolf-Human have Taur variants in their general species.
Tail Taur
Instead of two normal legs, tail taurs have some kind of long tail. The two most commonly known examples are the
Lamia and the
Mermaid as well as the
Siren. They are often depending on their special environments, like water for the mermaids and sirens. Most Tail Taur species are very strong and fast in their own habitat.
Monsterous Taur
The general group of Monsterous Taurs is very big and has many different species included. Some of the most commonly known examples here are
Cancer and
Drider. Their lower bodies resemble monsters and are often having more than four legs. Taurs of this group often have more monstrous appearances and are likely to be taller and wider than normal human-like species.
Trivia
- Centaurs are one of the main inspirations for this term, though there are many taur-like species already in Slimea that can now be put together under this.
- A discussion with Volt gave Drackzahn the idea to write down this information.
