Session 3: All Tuckered Out
General Summary
We catch Darrin in Presco's main street, backed up by the local sheriff, Shaun. The disguised aberration dislocates its jaw to reveal a small green entity living inside, later revealed to be one of the Nahiki, which quickly begins to spray green gas. Darrin starts to call in his allies, including the people who had so far been reported as missing during the night.
After a quick battle, Darrin transforms, becoming large enough to swallow Ruuch. While inside Ruuch seems to be transported to some kind of different dimension, and a representation of Darrin inside entreats him to "embrace the stars". In retaliation, the wizard blows up the fake moon with a fireball, causing the aberration spit him back up along with a burst of flame.
Meanwhile, Lydia has been bitten almost to death by a crazy cat lady, and is only rescued by timely intervention of Vic , who shoots the lady in the face multiple times.
In a final desperate attack, Sherriff Shaun throws himself at the aberration and is able to kill it, however unfortunately he dies in the process.
Repeated exposure to the Nahiki's gas (and failing literally every con save) results in Usze becoming so exhuasted this fight that he just drops down completely dead. He is quickly grabbed by Ruuch, Lydia, Usze, and Snakeman (who is later revealed to be Saan Treebark back together.
Adalai Lynn and Ruuch visit the mayor to tell him what happened. They explain that Darrin was in fact some kind of aberration hivemind who was trying to prepare Darthas for a Bolholian invasion.
After this, Usze, Lydia and Vic return to the tavern. Adalai and Ruuch go to see the crystal in the town hall. Ruuch manages to convince the mayor to let him "borrow" the heart of Presco as payment for his services to the town.
