Keep in mind not only what holidays your character would celebrate, but what your character would know about.  Particularly the holidays with more extreme celebrations practiced by cultists or extremists.  The Fire Day attacks from Shashelldo witches may be a rumor in your town meant to make children go to bed on time.  And dangerous barbarian holidays wouldn't matter much to a city-raised high elf.
