Ep. 306 A Dwarf, an Elf, and a Half-Elf walk into a Brothel...
General Summary
Actually it takes a very long time for our heroic party to get to that point; of actually walking into Nymphnoria's temple. Which, if you didn't know, is also a brothel. Our daring party's investigation into Quinn's disappearance/maybe arrest has led them to Lieutenant Rollant, who is known to frequent the brothel in his off hours. But, fearful of ... sex workers? or being smote by Nymphnoria's father, Husoris, the party decides to chat with the bards in Hai'Dora's temple.
The Firbolg you wanna Hear-bolg gives the party some good insight on how to deal with the enforcers frequenting Nymphnoria's temple. Specifically that the Madam does not like them just as much as the rest of the town does. With this information, the party goes into the brothel and (after a long time nervously sweating over drinks) asks the Madam to help them interrogate Rollant.
Rollant is a tricky fellow to interrogate, but it's easier when you burst into his room when he's mostly naked and you have a trigger-happy pyromancer in the group. He hands over Quinn's signet ring, which he stole from her when he arrested her. Luckily the party had this proof of Quinn's status, because only moments later they were beckoned out of the pleasure room to find that Captain Skerret had come to arrest them.
Our steadfast party is not easily fazed by such events like getting arrested. Luckily, they had the proof and the persuasion checks to back up their unwavering confidence. Not only were they able to prove to Skerret that she had managed to arrest and ship off the mayor of Ringwe'Eska, but they also convinced her that she's been helping to build an army of mages and that the threat of werewolves is much greater than originally thought.
The party does seem to realize, however, that Skerret is not as much in the know as they would have hoped. Skerret is certain the mages are being shipped to a government facility where they are properly disciplined. But she does have a plan to help the players, if what they're saying is true. And that is to be arrested. And shipped out like the other mages.
