Crown of Dol Hadrik
Through out the centuries there have been many powerful and important artifacts that have been created. A few of these have power within themselves, but most of these artifacts' power came from the significance that was placed upon them. One of these artifacts is the Crown of Dol Hadrik.
History
Thought to have been created Dol Hadrik the uniter of the continent upon his rise to power. This crown was the symbol of unity for the continent. The one who wore the crown was said to have the power to keep the continent unified, and indeed while the crown existed the continent was unified. Wearing the crown was a dangerous business as there were man people who wanted to have control over the continent. Many of those who wore the crown were slain in the conquest of it. Despite the bloodshed that surrounded the crown its self the continent experienced nearly half a millennium of peace. The peace began to fall apart when the last known wearer of the crown died. Her children, not wishing to be killed in the bloodshed that surrounded the crown, decided that it would be best for them to dispose of the crown. What they did with the crown remains unknown, as only one of her four children returned from the journey, and he had lost all memory of what had happened. Shortly after this the continent fell apart in the events that would lead tot he Rift.
