Thur

Thur is the main sequence star which the planet Smen orbits. It is a class G2.8v star, commonly known as a yellow dwarf. If the Thonsians knew anything about that, they'd assume there was an actual dwarf in a cute yellow hat responsible for keeping the fire burning. After all, to their eyes, Thur is a small enough yellow ball of fire hanging in the sky that having a dwarf maintain the thing would be perfectly reasonable.
But the Thonsians are not advanced enough to have learned about star classes, so naturally, they worship a different solar deity, also conveniently named Thur.
If you must know the scientific details of Thur, they are the same as those of our Sun. While I deeply respect those astrophysicist worldbuilders out there who will first invent the universe to bake an apple pie from scratch, I am not nearly that clever.
