Jormung

Every known sea has its share of terrors, but the Jormung is a sea monster unique to the Sea of Storms. Not much is known about it, as almost anyone who has seen it has not lived to tell the tale.   It is believed to have been responsible for the destruction of the Aske's Wake, the sailing vessel that carried upon it a party of soldiers and Scholars sent by the Skjald of Karvastead in the 76th year After the Founding to map the western coast of Sognaland. A great gale befell the crew and in the chaos, a giant sea serpent, the Jormung, surfaced. It attacked the ship, destroying it and killing all but two soldiers who washed upon shore and were found by a band of Sepi hunters. The hunters then accompanied the survivors back to the Skjald's hall in Karvastrond where the men told of their harrowing ordeal.   From their testimony, Jormung has the appearance of a wingless dragon, with a long, twisting, scaled body several hundred feet in length. Its jaws are large enough to swallow a small ship whole, and its mouth is filled with rows of large, sharp teeth.
