Settlers

The Settlers are the group of people who were sent from the Ossurian Empire to Sognaland, some against their will, after the signing of the Sognian Truce. All original Settlers had at least one quarter of Sognian heritage. The Settlers, even those who were mostly of Ossurian heritage, were not accepted as Ossurian by the citizens of the Empire. They were also not fully accepted as Sognian by the tribal leadership of the Sogni upon their arrival. As such, they are seen as a separate ethnicity. Some Sognian tribes are more accepting than others, but the Settler/Sogni distinction is still quite strong even a couple of centuries after the founding of The Seven Holy Steads.
