Boladan Redwhisker

Owner of The Broken Bottle

As a young man, Boladan travelled the world, adventuring as part of a group known as The Sleeping Scythe. Together with the other members of The Scythe, Boladan vanquished the dark sorcerer Peiax, and prevented the spellcaster from carrying out his unholy plan to revive The Dead Titan and use it to destroy The Skyblade Dynasty.
In the aftermath of their victory, Boladan sought to marry and then settle down with Perra Yulehand Redwhisker, another member of The Scythes. Together, they decided to start a tavern in Tomeeya's Pearl, where Boladan would serve drinks and Perra would manage the employees and finances. It wasn't long before the two had a child, a daughter which they named Talma. Together, the three of them were happy for many years.
But that happiness was not to last. When Talma was 10 years old, an old friend, Varric of Rollton, another member of the Scythes, came to request help from the two of them on an expedition into Rotehn-Onkh. Varric was seeking out The Frozen Castle of Ulsey'alik, and knew he would require the assistance of Perra, who was an expert at seeking out lost ruins and safely navigating them. Unwilling to leave their child alone, the Redwhiskers decided that Perra would go on the expedition while Boladan would stay home. Unfortunately, this would be the last time Boladan would see his wife.
Unfortunately, when he returned from his expedition, Varric reported that Perra was lost, swallowed up by some ancient magics, and that despite his best efforts he could not find her again. Distressed at this news, Boladan set out once again with Varric in tow to seek out his lost wife. But despite making use of all the resources at his disposal, Perra could not be found. After a year of searching, Boladan gave up and concluded that Perra was gone for good. The ex-adventurer returned to his daughter and his tavern, resolving to properly care for both of them to honor the memory of his lost love.
It has been over 10 years since then, and Boladan continues to work at his tavern to this day. He is a good father and a good business owner, but he still thinks constantly of his lost wife Perra.
