Eldran the Ancient
Eldran fears that his powerful inventions might fall into the wrong hands and disrupt the balance of the world. Also, as the receiver of divine blessing from the goddess Perserphina, he is concerned about fulfilling his responsibilities and not letting her down.
Eldran is an elderly man with long white beard, tangled and gnarled, much like his life-long history of arcane artifice. His face is weathered by the ages, but his piercing blue eyes still glow with a youthful vigor and vibrancy, fueled by the perpetual fire of wisdom burning inside him. He often wears long, complexly embroidered robes of the deepest azure, reflecting his endless fascination with the mysteries of the universe.
Eldran has a habit of talking to himself, especially when deep in thought or in the middle of spellcasting. He can often be found in his magical observatory, endlessly studying the stars. Despite his seriousness towards magic, he has a soft spot for humorous spells and pranks.
When not tutoring or spell-making, Eldran can often be found studying celestial bodies, a fascination that goes beyond his wizardly duties. He also enjoys an excellent prank or a clever riddle, and has a fondness for magical creatures.
Eldran, considered the most powerful wizard on Solare, was once a curious boy with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. His lifelong pursuit of understanding magic led him to serve the goddess Perserphina, who blessed him with longevity. Over the centuries, he has honed his craft to true excellence and invented countless spells. Many famous wizards, including Zerquistiss, owe their skill to his teachings. However, he constantly worries about the possible misuse of his creations and hopes to ensure that his wisdom and power will always be used for the greater good.
Eldran is patient, kind, and wise. He believes in sharing his knowledge, yet respects the secrets of magic and only imparts them to those who are worthy. Often seen deep in thought, he values wisdom over power and sees magic as the highest form of understanding the universe.
