Kalas
Devilish and winged, the god Kalas was naturally inquisitive, always questioning their purpose and existence. They wondered why the six prime gods were brought into existence and for what reason. Solaria had seemingly already existed, Why had Eyos created them and gifted them with omnipotent powers and the ability to create at will. No answers would ever be forthcoming.
This inquisitive nature and the other gods' unwillingness to seek answers to these questions caused Kalas to become frustrated with them. The other gods started creating beings to worship them and do their bidding, even warring with each other using these creations. Kalas tried to stress to the others that it was all meaningless. When they were ignored, Kalas attempted to prove how fragile and fickle their creations could be by bringing dragons into existence to eliminate all other races and creations.
In an attempt to show Kalas that there was a purpose to these creations, Zelos, another god, showed compassion, hope, and love to some of the dragons. Enamored by Zelos, one dragon transformed from having chromatic red scales to glistening metallic gold scales, becoming the first of the benevolent dragons.
Enraged by this, Kalas preyed on the minds of Anarah's elves and Zelos' dwarves, convincing them that they could be superior to the others and wield more power if they followed his teachings. This ultimately gave rise to the dark versions of each race: the Vaetyr for the Elves and the Dok’far for the dwarves.
These acts laid the foundation for the first wars and created a division among the prime deities. Over the ages, the races warred back and forth at the whim of the gods. Eventually, Kalas insisted that there was no point for their creations to continue fighting in their name, and suggested letting fate decide, as seen in the appearance of mankind. Perhaps it was time for the gods to leave the material plane behind and never return, creating a gate so powerful that only one of them alone could not break it.
The gods eventually approved of this decision and, one by one, stepped beyond the gate to never interfere in the lives of mortals ever again. Kalas, with a hidden agenda, waited until last. He planned to seal the gate and destroy Solaria to prove to the rest that he was right all along. Zelos, wise to this plan, also attempted to wait until last. Zelos and Kalas engaged in a fierce battle, and with borrowed power from Mysca and Anarah, Zelos defeated Kalas and trapped him in a jewel strong enough to house his essence. However, Zelos could not pass the jewel through the now-closed gate, so he buried it away and retreated to his own oasis, where he would spend eternity alone.
In modern history, Elick Laville stumbled upon the jewel and attempted to use it for his own gain. As a result, he was cursed to remain in a trapped state for 600 years until Malious Lamont found him. Malious was successful in using the jewel for his own gain and almost fulfilled a prophecy to gain ultimate power, but he was thwarted by the guild of valor, causing the jewel to shatter into hundreds of pieces scattered around the world.
