The Prideful Drake (a.k.a. Typhon)
"The Prideful Drake. There is a reason that Typhon was given such a title: the Wyvern is known to appear as a test for humanity, born of the Will of the Mother of Death herself. It's been a long time since He bore that hole through the island of His birth, yet we oft remember Him. I heard that He is known for destroying things on a whim-- He rather enjoys His job, doesn't He?"

Divine Symbols & Sigils
The Amber Apple
An interesting quirk of Daemonic language, the color for red is "of Pyre" [foli]. The color for orange, however, is "of Fruit" [meli]. Whereas the red apple is associated with the Forbidden Fruit of human mythos, the Amber Apple [Milne av Mehela] is associated with Typhon Himself. It is often said that Typhon's eyes are "like Apples".
The Golden Scale
Sundays are associated with both Pyre and Gold; as such, one of the most common Typhon iconographies is a singular, heart-shaped scale, with its two curves pointing downwards. Some interpretations of the scale are spade-shaped, so in human card decks, Typhon is usually represented as the King of Spades.Tenets of Faith
- Work for thyself, not for others: humanity is fallible, and works to their own interests.
- Utilize charisma to your own benefit: show you can lead, and are ultimately dependable.
- Be joyous about your accomplishments: not acknowledging them leads to a growing sadness.
- Confidence is the path to righteousness: convince others that you are infallible through your actions.
Holidays
Zil ad Fodizhna ["Typhon's Soul"]: Sol 25 [Typhos 11, or January 14th]
The day Origin-Name Lith Omlar tossed Their children into Typhon's Caldera. This day is when Fol children (and some Fol adults) are "baptized". The Lith of Fol is in attendance on this night, and allows any Fol Daemon access to Typhon's Caldera without a permit.Divine Goals & Aspirations
To test humanity, is Typhon's ultimate goal. How He goes about it is usually through creating conflicts for humans to respond to. Whatever destruction that He does is done to coerce a call to action from the humans; this does not come without casualties, however. As Typhon does not grasp the concept of mortality, like the other Divines of Zhulesha, He indiscriminantly causes suffering to get someone to come after Him.
Like the Altruistic Bird Aethon, Typhon experiences life and death in a constant cycle: when He dies, He is reborn elsewhere, usually within the depths of a mountain. There are some hints of sadomasochism in the Drake, due to the fact that He is functionally ageless. Not only does He strive to cause destruction, He also strives to be killed by a creature who dares answer His call to action.
Physical Description
Identifying Characteristics
Typhon is best characterized by His red scales and piercing, amber eyes. As He is oft reborn time and time again, His physical appearance in human form may change, allowing Him to blend in with the human surroundings. His Draconic form is also known to change with his constant rebirths, depending on where He was born. As His current place of birth is Typhon's Teeth, He is Wyvern-shaped, with wings in place of arms.
If one were to try to pick Him from a crowd of humans, the main features look for in His human form is His back-length white hair and the churning red aura in His irises. Were He to appear in His Daemonic form, His horns would be visible, and He would, interestingly enough, not possess any wings.
