Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Leonard has an ectomorphic, almost sickly-looking body type, which is accentuated by his height and muscle. Due to his genetic makeup, he has a lot of scaly blemishes on his skin, and some parts are even slightly deformed: mainly, his ears, which have an unusually-elongated helix that seems to bend unnaturally in response to certain emotions.
He walks with a slight limp, which may be due to the fact that his center of balance isn't where it needs to be. As such, he walks with a cane everywhere he goes, and refuses to use wheelchairs or any other mobility aids.Body Features
Leonard has a partly-skinned, partly-scaled body, which leads many to believe that he has a condition similar to liver-spots or lupus. Many would agree it is the latter, as he appears to be immunocompromised on top of everything else. The scales are benign, and are as smooth to the touch as his normal skin, though it feels relatively cooler in temperature. The unusual pattern of skin and scales gets far more drastic on the lower half of his body, where a large majority of it is scales.
His fingernails are unnaturally long and dark, save for the pinky and ring fingers, which seem to lack a nail altogether. This odd digit feature is even present on his feet, which are almost fully Katcho: long, plantigrade, and relatively thin.
From his back, there extends a lithe, almost skeletal-looking tail, decked out in full scales and chitinous scutes. The scutes, however, have been shaven down, likely to keep the tail as inconspicuous as possible when hidden underneath clothing.Facial Features
Leonard's face shows very Human-like features, with a facial structure most would associate with a native of Viridi. His eyes and hair, however, call back to his Ooshiman roots-- which likely stem from inter-species coupling back when his Katchoin sire's ancestors still lived harmoniously with Humans.
Aside from his pointed, seemingly-hinged ears, there is another feature on his face that hints at his Katchoin lineage: what appear to be dotted eyebrows at first glance are actually a second pair of eyes. These eyes grant him a bit more visual sharpness, though they seem to be partially color-deficient, as its peripherals "bleed" into the greyscale. They do, however, allow him to see during the night, which is useful as he often works overtime.Apparel & Accessories
Leonard always seems to dress professionally, donning multiple layers of clothing to help conceal his Katchoin lineage. This means that he often wears dress shirts, vests or suits, and an overcoat wherever he goes, as well as long, pressed dress pants and a pair of flat, pointed leather shoes.
When it comes to accessorizing, Leonard wears glasses, which have a thin silver chain hanging from them. He also likes to wear gloves whenever he is out, and keeps a small, antibacterial hankerchief in his breast pocket. Besides these three items, he hardly wears anything in the way of accessories.
Leonard's preferred range of clothing colors often fit into monochrome tones, preferring his coat to be the lightest color and his vest or pants to be the darkest. When it comes to slight pops of color, he tends to lean towards greens, but sometimes opts for a red or gold accent.Mental characteristics

Leonard has a keen interest in multiple fields of science, ranging from zoology, to biology, to his main field of work in pathology. He also has a passing interest in psychology, but this only goes to the extent of him knowing how people think: he is disinterested in the manifestation of abstract thoughts, broken identities, and phobias, to name a few.
Were he to invite people over to his home more often, Leonard would pride himself in his collection of medical journals, which range across multiple fields of science in every available edition. Typical of most book collectors, however, he has only read a select few of them, but he often thumbs through the ones in his field of work.
Next to his book collection, Leonard has his own personal library of preserved body parts, similar to the ones he had when he was a child. Many of them he collected himself (both legally and without the patient's consent), and the others he made sure came from reputable sources. His personal pride and joy is the mummified hand of an Azalean politician, who seemingly disappeared without a trace.Morality & Philosophy
Leonard's morality, to many people, seems to lean down the path of evil, but he himself would say otherwise: to him, sometimes medical malpractice happens, and it would be a monumental waste for him to let a relatively healthy body be destroyed. This isn't to say that he intentionally kills people for the thrill: he genuinely tries to help people with their ailments, but unfortunately takes to experimentation on the oddest of cases.
It is no coincidence, however, that most of his experimentation happen on the wealthy and powerful. As the Katcho are routinely oppressed by Azalea, what with them living in the sewers and all, it goes without saying that those responsible should understand what it feels like to be treated horribly. Most do survive, but due to the cost of the procedures that he performs, they suffer-- though briefly-- by exorbitant medical costs.
Despite the amount of stress he gives his facility, Leonard's coworkers are indebted to his medical genius. Those closest to him would say that he's a guardian angel of sorts, even if his methods lean towards the macabre.Personality Characteristics

Leonard has a fairly bad reputation of experimenting on patients beyond the point of a procedure. This is largely due in part to his unusual anatomy, but is also fueled by a child-like curiosity that he's had since he started his own preserved collection of grotesquely-deceased vermin when he was younger. As he wasn't taught about the Human version of compassion, this fact has always rubbed people the wrong way when they experience it first-hand.
Despite this eccentricity, Leonard has an incredibly charismatic way of speaking, which allows him to slip out of dangerous, less-than-legal situations while coming out mostly unscathed. The fact that other people depend on him gives him a slight ego boost, which he doesn't fully process but is keenly aware of.
Ultimately, his current career is something he took up so he could potentially "cure" himself of the ailments that he has to suffer through constantly: the weak immune system, his sickly body, and his Human appearance. Were you to ask him which race he most identifies with, he would most certainly say Katcho-- that is, if it wasn't more or less illegal for a non-Human to exist in Human civilizations.Hygiene
Leonard is incredibly germaphobic, opting to stay away from people and constantly washing his hands and face if he has to be near others without wearing any PPE. This is likely due to the fact that he is susceptible to disease, which physically debilitates him to the point of being incapable of work.
His cleanliness routines always involve him bathing at least twice a day-- once in the morning before work, and once immediately after he gets home from work. He also tends to wash his hair once a day, which is always during his post-work shower, and brushes his teeth after every meal, no matter how small.
Leonard always keeps his nails well-manicured, which he somewhat-proudly does himself. They are always kept smooth, short, and sometimes even painted with a light nail-polish (as they are naturally dark-colored).piercing green, hooded
