Lith

The Lith are the Rulers of all of Typhon's Teeth. There are 13 of Them: two for each element, and one Prophetical Child chosen by the one before Them. Their ruling is a slice of a pie, cutting through all nine layers of the island, and ruling over those within that elemental slice, called a Domain.

"Lord" is the best translation for the title of "Lith". Lith act like monarchs, where They take charge of a large mass of government, but They are also like a member of council where each converse with one another to make changes to the island's laws-- which is why the order of Lith is called The Council.

Qualifications

The main qualification for a Lith is that They must be capable of leading the People. This means that a Future Lith that is well-spoken, charismatic, and perceptive, is the best choice. This qualification only appears when either a Lith-In-Command either has no progeny or multiple.

Requirements

The requirements for being a Lith are fairly straightforward: one has to be of noble blood [or, born in the Upper Strata of a Domain], usually the direct descendent of a currently-reigning Lith, and they must be Superadults-- that is, an Adult that has reached spiritual, magical, and overall enlightenment.

Appointment

Appointment is fairly simple, as it is usually passed down from Parent to Child: a Future Lith is given the Elemental Hilt of the Lith that is soon to step down, with the Blade removed from it.
There is a ceremony that must be performed before a Lith is officially a Lith, however: they must plunge into Typhon's Caldera, located in the center of the island, climb the Steps to The Council, and Forge their own unique Blade from the hilt they were given with the witness of the Daemonic Peoples.

Benefits

Lith, and Their family members, live in a mansion at the very top of the Domain. They gain near-unlimited access to as many workers as they desire, and also have control of their own militia. They are usually appointed a Lieutenant as well, but some have opted to choose their own after the shift of power.
Lith, ultimately, are gifted the ultimate in securities and amenities.

Accoutrements & Equipment

The main item granted to a Lith is, rather, taken from the Lith Themselves: the Ceremonial Blade, forged from the Core of a Lith and pulled out using a special hilt crafted specifically for the Lith of each Domain.
