Session 1: Deals & Resurrection Report
General Summary
The party finds itself awakening in individual, yet identical, rooms containiing a single coffin on a raised dais where they slep/materialized. One by one everyone made their way out of their room and into the waiting roomed to be accosted by Amistus. Certain individuals, namely
Fig
decided they did not like the bright neon arrows directing them to make their way into the waiting room. Unable to pull the sign off the wall, fig climbed up on top of the sign and used themself to pry the sign off of the wall to crash onto the floor. Fig was briefly able to communicate with the soul used to power the sign, and was warned the sign would break if removed from the wall. Refusing to listen, fig sucessfully removed the sign from the wall and was solded by the soul and told there would be consequences. The other adventurers noticed the ruckus and went to investigate puzzled as to why fig pulled it off the wall. Amistus then joins to direct erveryone into the waiting roomm, very unamused by the fun Fig was having.
Everyone noticing that the chairs assembled into a line look like frogs and happen to be live Lemure, decide to alter their original plans to sit, such as Wranfir avoid sitting on the tortured creatures while others such as Kilmir attempt to sit as hard as they can in an attempt to make them lose their footing. Fig Lays down using the open seats vacated by others.
Amistus at this point begins to speak and provides aned explanation about how they have been chosen service his lord Amaunator to fight against darkness in the world and keep the peace therin. In a Let's Make a Deal Style seeming gameshow Amistus offers each adventurer the choice between a large contract to be signed and a hoard of gold that has a blue dragon lying atop of it. Many conversations ensue, but one by one everyone agrees and signs the contract presented, despite Fig's hesitence and desire for the mountain of gold presented.
Once signed the party finds themselves dumped into the ditch along side the road running between Dumal and [Durat'Kur about 10 miles south of Dumal. Fig, frantic with concern over her teapot, nearly drops it trying to make sure that is it safe and secure. The group makes introductions prior to setting forth towards the nearby farmhouse after Fig lovingly threw a rock at one of the workers shouting at her to get away.
The group, minus fig, decides to investigates the farmhouse first attempting to talk to workers passing by. This is unsucessful as they claim to be busy and leave, so Fig attempts to hide in the bushes and successfully jumps out of the bushes but fails to scare the person they jumped out at. Regardless Fig feels acomplished with her actions. Wranfir is consued by the logic of fig's actions but the party pushes forward anyhow. A Man who seems to own the farm answers the door after Dmitri Emerson knocks and does not look amused and appears to be heavily armed. Wranfir manages to get that they are in the vicinity of dumal and the farm they are at is the leading grain supplier. It becomes apparent quickly that the adventurers are not local. It is explained that they are on the island of Tir'Nisal and that the island is mostly a peacful place. The fotress surrounding Dumal mostly needed to keep out the very unsucessfully disuaded wildlife, and sprung up as a trading post between the unnamed elvin settlment to the north and Durat'Kur(location:c9b384bf-769d-4805-bf0d-78eed9ed51a0) . The party soon agrees to make their way north to Dumal, @[Kilmir proudly proclaiming their appetite for spirits.
Wranfir was able to recall some of how he had died due to the events progessing currently. He discovered that he had made a deal with a devil to travel to Shadowfelland retrieve an artifact, but was unable to recal what or why. Fig is also enlightened to some of the finer points of the contract that they had all signed, when preparing to steal from the farmhouse but eventually decides against it due to the number of people coming in and out.
On the Way to Dumal, the party comes across an old man sitting in the middle of the road, just outide of town. The man when asked, claims he is seeking entertainment, also provides a wooden box. Wranfir takes the box from the man and finds himself unable to remove his hands from the box, and Dmitri also grabs the box trying to help, but is also unable to release his grip on it. The box began to warm uncontrollably, and upon inspection the box was filled with magic and is buidling up to a climax. Kilmir attempted to break the box but was unable to land enough hits before the box detonated, smacking Dimitri in the middle of his hand in the process. On detonation the box launched a couple of harmless fireworks into the air. Soon after a creature could be made out falling from the sky and the group began debating how to save whomever it is falling from the sky.
Will they succeed...?
