Session 5:Goldmaster's Deception
General Summary
The group starts out by regrouping with Tenallyn and their fish friend, and mid discussion into what to do next, the party hears a blood curdling scream from the area upstairs. Written in blood on the walls in the makeshift office they had fashioned, a warning to cease their meddling
A fight ensues and Tenallyn is nearly killed in the process, but everyone manages to pull through. Dimitri managed to extract exoskelletal chitin plates from the neogi, enough to make some armor for someone small in stature. The party then makes their way out of the sewers halting just on the outside of the hut that covers the sewer entrance. Tenallyn makes his way off to receive much needed medical attention. Kilmir decides to begin discretely taking down the wanted posters for Something was taken from her, and she is determined to get it back." href="/w/solaris-zevrant/a/fig--person">Fig . A discussion of what to do with the cursed gold nugget ensues as Fig turns the party's attention to it. The party makes their way to Jensens's Jewlers and with much deceipt and meticulous manipulation, Fig is able to sell off the gold nugget to the party's benefit, for a bout 8,000 gold, which is subsequently partially distributed throughout the party.
The party begins making their way back to the tavern and are met by to shadowy figures. Wranfir is able to recall that the neogi that the party fought new him from his time in the shadowfell. Meanwhile the shadowy figures continue to beckon to the party and ask the party a few riddles, and what they seem to be mostly pleased with the responses the party gave, as they leave behind an orb with a cork in it containing shadows.
Back at the The Grumpy Monkey Wranfir inquires about renting out the kitchen, and is upset with the requirement to put down a deposit despite being a chef.
I am here again, to wit my will, i'll not refrain.Tenallyn sees this as a sign that they are on the right track as to figuring out what's going on here. With any aparent footprints covered by the ocean of blood on the floor it is pretty much impossible for the group to make out who was responsible for the message and the murders., the blood on the flor slowly making its way towards the rooms only door. @Dimitri not fully satisfied, decides to try and rummage through the scant remains of the guards that were stationed here. After awhile a summoning circle looking figure begins to glow in the middle of the room, and not wanting any of that the group makes for the door. Unfortunately a Neogi crawls down of the ceiling as the group approaches. The bloody faced neogi just stands in front of the group and not waiting for anything horrible to happen Kilmir draws his crossbow and fires.
