Clan Rustfire & Rookoath

Clan Rustfire was a thriving community of stout-hearted dwarves, who burrowed their halls beneath the fens of the Taeya Bog on the isle of Gwyneth. But their idyllic existence was shattered by the cataclysmic arrival of the Spell Plague. The city of Karador, a metropolis of the fey, shifted from the ethereal Feywild to the Material Plane, bringing with it a host of otherworldly creatures. The surge of fey magic caused destruction to rain down upon the region, as the invaders began to ravage and conquer the neighboring lands.   In a desperate bid for survival, the dwarves of Clan Rustfire fled the realm of their forefathers, taking to the twisting, underground pathways of The Tunnels of Dwarvenhome. They emerged in the northern reaches of Alaron, in the rugged and towering Fairheight Range. There, they discovered that they were not alone in their exile, for Clan Rookoath had already taken root in these mountains, building a thriving settlement of their own.   Despite their initial reservations, the two clans joined forces, pooling their resources and honing their skills in a united stand against the fey threat. The dwarves of Clan Rustfire and Clan Rookoath worked together tirelessly, carving out a secure home in the heart of the Fairheight Range. Though the world beyond their borders was full of chaos and instability, wrought by the magic of the fey and the aftermath of the Spell Plague, they remained vigilant, ever ready to defend their community against any further threats, be they from the fey or other invaders.

Major organizations

The Wardens

It is said that after settling in the Fairheight range, the two dwarven clans, Clan Rustfire and Clan Rookoath, came together to form a powerful organization dedicated to the protection of the Deepshaes. This elite group of warriors, known as the Wardens, was comprised of not only dwarves from both clans, but also deep gnomes, myconids, pech, kua-toa, gloura, and even a few drow. The coming together of these disparate races to form an alliance, a rarity in the subterranean world, speaks volumes about the threat the Wardens were created to counter and the dwarves' unwavering commitment to their homeland. With the combined strength and skills of its members, the Wardens have become a force to be reckoned with, striking fear into the hearts of those who would do harm to their home.
