Objective
Investigate the explosion heard in the direction of Cobh following the invasion of the Horsians on the town.
Observations
All structures are gone, and various make-shift camp have been erected
The cliffside that supports Cobh remains
The cliffsides surrounding the city have receded much closer than before
Bradley & Lady Calliope left together
Astrid and Cpt. Merlin in charge
Astrid's arm is significantly injured
fight to the death for the surviving soldiers of the capital -- Ulfhilda the victor
attacks by fish like creatures are slowing the construction of the docks
lost more than we're comfortable with during the attack on the docks
Follow up
Investigate the giant hole in the sewers of Cobh (mentioned by Aujirgix)
See if we can deal with the source of the attacking fish people; in order to help speed up dock construction

Operation Details
An ever-present small column of smoke. Maybe a few of these columns, but small -- more grey than black now
no giant column like the first night.
no scent of wood burning.
Don't make any trouble with the Horsian’s.
A few people don't have horses, so we're going to walk.
approx. 3 hour there

1.5 hours in: makeshift signpost (seems to be BRAND NEW)
- north (Cobh)
- south (Fort)
It is very quiet... but in the distance hear a faint sound of hammers on wood.
Horsians must not be completely decimated... potentially...
lots of footsteps from the Horsian army.
- smelling burnt wood, sulphur smell
30 mins later
- withered bushes
- places where trees have fallen over
Temple, Spire, and other cluster of builds are gone.
The forest that was once here is now barren
Part of the coastline is receded as we look directly east. Drop off is WAY too close compared to before.
- as we made it further north, we see the coastline cuts back to be more normal.
Various tents (sigils of Hora)/tables/stables/etc. has been setup

It is now a make-shift camp! sort of like the camp
there is a line going into a tent, that seem to go through it, and then go out
- flesh hitting flesh; no cries of pain
- they enter the ring, you hear a thwack, then they exit
there is also a set

Market is now converted to stable
There are two pillars that seem to be burning -- these are the source of smoke we see from the fort.
There more command building is more to the south at the coast.
Captain Merin
- likes his title; use it
See a man with eyes are swollen shut; beaten to a pulp
- brilliant red robes
- soldiers were flanking him on sides
- the man was attempting to not react when struck
- constantly beaten by the soldiers
- told this is punishment; the man said he could handle what was going on here. Could contain the blast, but he didn’t.
- He couldn't even protect the Lady Calliope’s sister -- Astrid
- movement in the tent...
- burnt flesh smell. cloak covers Astrid’s entire left side.
- some of the hair caught some of the flames...
- war paint fainted, and streaked
- she WHIPS her hand axe into the man's forehead
- she is obviously in serious pain
She let Aceso examine her injuries with Tavvok in her tent.
- removes the pelt…
- at first glance… mess of burned scars. Tissue that has been pushed together far too quickly.
- horrid crisscrosses of flesh up her entire arm.
- the hand is uselessly dangling.
- her injuries to her hand are beyond my skills; there might be a chance that someone like CPT Tel/MJR Rem could fix it...
- Aceso casts Cure Wounds to fix some of the damaged nerves
- Tavvok would wrap up her arm with Aceso’s assist
Circle of Horsian’s in the southwest surrounding a circle with people in them
- 4 men; 1 woman -- heavily armored in the circle -
- steel vs steel; a fight as broken out
- they are soldiers of Cobh... new recruits!
- makeshift trial of sorts -- last remaining person in the circle is a Horsian
- 1 women WINS! Horsians rush in and embrace her.
- Wolf-Hilda is her name.

- Cpt. Merlin is unaware of it
- They assumed everything under the city was collapsed
HOW CAN WE HELP?

construction of the dock (Tavvok + Alexander)
helped heal 11 injured Horsian soldiers (Aceso, Aujirgix, Falyer)
Aceso and Aujirgix work their way through 13 injured soldiers
- a lot of the wounds are not from the blast, normal combat damage
- pretty much any of the soldiers in the blast had nothing left
- 3/10 who are too far gone... but we did the best we can. The other 7 we could really help.
- at least 2 did suffer burns that must have been from the blast
- Aceso: pinkish flesh; riving in pain; completely BURNED... CPT Merin basically gave a look saying if I couldn’t help him (w/o magic) then don’t waste the resources. I told the CPT we couldn’t fix him, and he would suffer SIGNIFICANTLY. They decided to end his life swiftly to stop his agony.
- Aujirgix: One person was completely mangled (hamburger)… no idea to even start medically. Offered a healing potion, but declined...

- seems to in some sort of frenzy; covered in blood, but not her blood
- faint murmuring under her breath to herself.
- she "choose me"... looks at her bloody hands
- the storm is coming.
- "she" thought me worthy, they (Horsians) thought me worthy
Tavvok:

- carries lumber to help
- over-hears a couple Horsian soldier's say:
"She summoned the fucking kraken... you know what that means..."
Alexander:
========
- working to ensure dock is secured
- notices something in the distance... pulls over Tavvok
- Tavvok notices: they seem to move... creatures of some sort. Creatures of some sort!
7 fish like creatures appear to be approaching the dock on our side... fish-people with tridents and nets
they start throwing harpoons at those on the cliff
they had harpoons that hit people, and allow them to pull people...
one of them had a staff... was able to call on a thunderstorm
15 fish further north of us, that the Horsian's started fighting.
Tavvok rushes down to the dock
Alexander is pulled into the water off the dock
Alexander is able to get back on dock; Tilson picked him up, and carried him up ladder
Aujirgix jumps down on dock, and throws lightning spear at caster, and 2 others in the area
caster is killed instantly
gives in after his spear
Tavvok jumps off the cliff to attack one of them!
Astrid jumps in back after him!
Aujirgix gets his spear, gets on dock, and climbs up the cliff in a few seconds
Falyer gets pulled off the cliff, and lands on the dock.
Aujirgix once again jumps off the cliff into the water... murders the last two fish

even my sister may need assistance at some point going forward...
How many soldiers were lost in the battle?
- lost more than we're comfortable with
- but they feel they are more than capable with what they have currently between the camp to the south and Cobh
At the current pace, how long do you think it will take to complete the dock?
- depends on if these attacks continue...
- these fish people hadn't attacked before today...
- We're wondering if this could this be related to Umberlee?
- the sewer grates seemed to buried / cover in rubble.
- the grate collapsed and fell in; then rubble filled it; but it could be cleared for access.
Astrid will be in the camp for a while.
We provided a "distraction" for Tavvok and Astrid.
The sport of "Gnome Tossing" may be a thing now.
