Objective
Proceed further into the labyrinth
Observations
IMMEDIATE AREA CONCERN: Powerful undead spellcaster in eastern, icy area. Do not engage. Spellcaster at least capable of creating a large cloud of poison, disintegrating individuals, countering spells, and long distance ice spells. Additionally, non-magical attacks did not harm the creature.
Explored further into eastern and southern section of labyrinth. Pursued area to immediate south of last pole beacon - ended at T-Section that went west and east. Party continued east.
Eastern section of the labyrinth consists of icy terrain with occasional slopes. Do not explore unless absolutely necessary - previously mentioned spellcaster is likely wandering areas.
Eastern section includes large columns - do not touch, will cause hammers between columns to vibrate and cause icicles to fall from ceiling.
Western section of labyrinth unexplored but brief observation indicated more naturally formed tunnel. Possible source of bulettes that have been harassing parties.
Follow up
Do not explore eastern section of labyrinth until absolutely necessary.
Beacon was placed in an eastern part of the labyrinth. Immediately head south until hitting a wall, where a tunnel to the west will thaw. Take that hallway to escape the eastern section.
Mindful of time dilution - party members began to exhibit minor signs of disappearance 45 minutes into expedition. At 1 hour no significant change in deterioration. Was informed by previous party that some time over an hour is when signs began to exacerbate to concerning degrees.
Future expeditions should be sure to place the rod in a safe area before continuing, as one isn't required to be near the staff when returning to base camp.
Preparation Details
The robot soldier gave us a briefing before hand, warning us that the area outside the labyrinth's entrance was occupied by elementals and bulitts. The Jims gave us the beacon staff and five bracelets, warning us not to attempt to teleport more than one person per bracelet. Once one is teleported back to base camp, they can't go back.
