Objective
Scouts have identified a series of spotted gemstone deposits along the southern bank of the Swanmay River between Doncastle and the King’s Road. A further search is needed to identify whether these deposits are substantial enough to warrant excavation.Observations
Fort maintenance note: If we have future instances of space barnacles attaching to the fort, Do NOT magic attack them. The react to magic explosively and cause damage to the fort structure. Best to just to pry them off mundanely.Follow up

Operation Details
Pre mission assignment was t clear barnacles from the side of Fort Vegapath. We teleported to the southern base. The gem sighting was reported as 1hr east, along the Swanmay, between Doncastle and Kings Road.We tracked the primary source of gems to a cave, which was being secured by 3 ogers, 2 of a the mundane variety, 1 seemed to be some undead variant. They were reading the activation of some black shadowy orb. WE were able to initiate a surprise attack against them and largely were able to dispatch them quickly. They did start activating the orb which Erik shot out while it started and it exploded magically. Most of the team took severe damage but we were able to pick ourselves up to continue reviewing the cave.
We secured samples of several gems including, Aradite, hematite, morganite, tiger eye, skydrop, and a Pearl.
Especially with the pearl, there seemed to be some level of artificial placement of the gems.
A tunnel in the rear of the cave extended downward, but the tunnel's walls were largely collapsed to a point that Odin himself couldn't fit beyond 70 feet down the tunnel.
A boulder cover stone there was marked Outpost 1A-7.
As a security precaution. Erik collapsed the tunnel access to better secure the cave. and team returned to camp.
