Objective

Folk guard got a tip about a new cave

Observations

The cave was a bit hidden and hard to find. that said, we were able to find it with the help of the guide.

The Rakshasa is really intent on killing Ralla, given that they specifically threw this surprise for Ralla.

Rakshasa is very persistent (according to Weloh) and gets fixated on killing its targets.

Follow up

1. Follow up on the Rakshasa if it can be tracked some how.

2. Follow up on the Shar cultists

Operation Details

Teleported to the Embassy to meet with a scout named Nagl-rav. He looked like a normal scout, dressed Caer Callidyrr colors. He started to lead us to the cave, but had to stop along the way. He told us about a new rumor and story:





1. a Foreign Cat Cult that was in Caer Callidyrr;

2. He had an infected foot, that he seemed to have cut off his toes himself.





Speaking about his injured foot (it smelled bad), he mentioned that he and his partner got sick, and then threw up. Then his partner caught on fire and somehow caught his foot on fire. That was when he cut his toes off. It was implied he may have killed his partner.

Given the poor condition of his foot, Dr. Dickens insisted on treating it, and helped the scout a lot.





Eventually, we managed to find the cave entrance, but the reported mummified body was missing. We entered the cave cautiously and ran into an injured rat and some wolf pups. We scared them away and found the wolf pups parents dead in the cave. We continued forward until we spotted a weird spider that had a purple gem in it. At that point, Nagl-rav (whom bravely followed us into the cave) tried to hand us a note that he stated he was told to give us. The note hit the ground s no one wanted to take it, at which point the note or Nagl-rav, o the spider may have triggered a substantial cave-in that blocked our exit.





This cave in alerted a number zombies to come at us, along with a weird demonic puppy thing with many large sharp teeth and a very long and strong tongue that could restrain you. they came down from the main area of the cave and started attacking us. We killed the puppy thing. Caelindriel cast Sickening Radiance up in the main area and we heard numerous screams and groan, constantly for the full ten minutes.





Weloh was brave and decided to go up the hill and into the Sickening radiance to gain information. What he saw was a pit of endless zombies being reanimated, with a weird purple glowing thing under the bodies (it may have been a stone of some sort). With miraculous aiming, he hit the stone with a projectile of some sort that opened a rift into space and emptied the remaining inanimate bodies and the stone into the portal.





We did manage to speak more to Nagl-rav and found that he had actually been drinking at the Tavern called: The Crook and the Crane in the Dock-ward. The note he dropped was from the Rakshasa that essentially stated Nagl-rav conspired with them to kill us for gold.

We decided to ignore that part, even if it might have been true, given the enchantment that was on Nagl-rav. We then turned back and made it back to the Embassy with no issues.
