Objective
Scout the West Shore of the Island
Observations
There is a big volcano on the island. There is a shipwreck on the north of the island. There are multiple types of creatures: lizards, some sort of bi-pedal winged creatures, plant monsters, velociraptors, and what appears to be a Sarrukh (a long thought extinct progenitor race).

Operation Details
We left the King's Ship taking the ship with the ballista on it. We did some repairs to the ship. Traveling towards the island we saw a few sandbars. We also encountered a sandbar that was fortified with a cannon and a small structure. We continued towards the island at a fast pace to get away from the cannon. We anchored about 400ft off the island due to the jagged rocky area we were in. We then swam t shore carefully. HALe walked on the water due to his ring of water walking and provided assistance to those that needed against the tide.
As we made it to the shore, we noticed a few things: the volcano, some lizards reptile creatures, a massive flying bird, numerous smaller bi-petal winged creatures, a massive long necked four legged creature, and some weird plants that did not move with the wind normally.
We killed the lizards when they attacked. The plants turned out to be sentient and we killed one as only one attacked us. We avoided the large long necked creature. We also avoided the bi-pedal avian creatures and the massive flying bird. We soon encountered some velociraptors feasting on a corpse. and took care to avoid them.
Heading to the northern tip of the island we encountered the ship wreck. We found a 50lb barrel of Ale and another one of wine. We also found two journals, a bow (with no string), a sword, and some cats-eye gems.
After this, we noticed it was getting dark, considering we had spent less than 2 hours on the island, it proved that time was odd on the island. Magic was also odd on the island as it appeared that the only thing it cost to cast was control. If control slipped, the spell would backfire on us. Considering the only two spells of ours that backfired were healing spells, there could be some resistance to healing spells, but I believe that to be coincidence.
Additionally, the volcano seems to be getting bigger based on how the surrounding land is being scorched and affected.. I am curious if the volcano was always there or if it is a recent development. We found that the body the velociraptors were feasting on was similar to a yuan-ti, but had the wrong color, and its bone structure was wrong in some details, and wrong in color. It also had a 15ft tail;. I do believe it is a Sarrukh.
