The Wardens

In the shadowed Fairheight range, the ancient dwarven clans Rustfire and Rookoath maintained a vigilant watch. Stricken by a debilitating disease that crippled their once-mighty ranks, these stoic clans observed from afar as the alliance engaged in a perilous battle with Elriza and Shar. Their isolation, coupled with rough relations with the surface world, kept them at a distance, witnessing the struggles but unwilling to fully commit.   Yet something changed. Perhaps it was the relentless onslaught of their foes, the desperate pleas of the alliance, or a realization that their destiny was intertwined with the fate of the world above. Despite their losses and rough relations with the surface dwellers, the clans were swayed to act.   From their proud and diminished ranks, the Wardens were called to battle. An elite cadre of warriors and mystics drawn not only from Rustfire and Rookoath but joined by deep gnomes, myconids, pech and many other denizens of the subterranean realms. This unlikely band of defenders was sent forth as the clans' contribution to the cause, their first steps towards joining a battle that had long raged without them.

Culture

The Wardens, comprised of races from different backgrounds, adhere to a strict code of conduct and honor that binds them together. While their individual cultural practices vary, their shared dedication to the protection of the Deepshaes fosters unity. They value bravery, vigilance, and solidarity. Training and rituals are infused with the ancient traditions of both dwarven clans and are augmented by the wisdom and practices of the other races in the organization.

Public Agenda

The Wardens' primary agenda is rooted in their profound belief that their alliance with the surface dwellers represents a pivotal moment in the world's history. They perceive this undertaking as not just a collaboration but a crucial turning point that requires their expertise. While the Wardens have a deep-seated connection to the subterranean world and the intricacies of its mysteries, they recognize the need to collaborate with the Alliance. Their goal is to impart their unique understanding of the Deepshaes and ensure that the surface dwellers, who may not share their profound connection to the world beneath, do not inadvertently jeopardize the larger endeavor.
