Objective
Survive our night in the city of Horsa, and make our way back to camp. The city has been enveloped in a magical darkness as we went to bed.
Observations
The darkness has enveloped the city 2 - 3 times recently; usually lasts a few hours
In the past, before the camp was established, they say it lasted for days once
as we came down after our nights sleep, he was now stuttering and scared...
Lady Calliope flying COMES THROUGH THE DOOR
creeping darkness makes it way inside
on the edges are grasps hands of darkness
The holy symbol from Eldath starts to glow...
- dim light in a 30 feet range around Aceso
Calliope says "make for the river"
-Aceso moves, and Tilson and Falyer are left slightly outside the aura
- the darkness seems to hurt them, and zap their strength... ensure they stay in the light
Make our way out of the Inn
DRAGON LIKE CREATURE appears...
- rider with a black weapon
- dragon vanishes leaving behind a humanoid
Tried to bounce from house to house that happened to have light within
look to the west... see a radiant light
- seems to be silhouette of a women wearing a white dress... making her way through the darkness... emitting light through the darkness
- she is following us...
The "light emitting woman" appears in front of us to the south...
"Wait, look for another beacon!"
Tries to do something to Aceso, but failed
A bolt of lightning lights up the darkness for an instant...
- Calliope and a flying beast both crash from the sky from just north of us.
This light lady continues to catch up, and try to grapple Aceso... steal his light...
- she repeated this several times
- she was able to shrink the size of the Aura...
This woman was bathed in golden radiant light that pierced the absolute darkness:
- she seemed to hold an orb or ball of light
- seemed to feed on the light that Aceso produced (reducing its size)
- healing in her vicinity seems to increase her power
- She had a long beam of light attack that hit people
- She had a similar beam attack that was more concentrated and on one person
- very strong, and able to grapple
- able to teleport around
- see through magical darkness (?)
Some sort of darkness dragon lands on a building as we get close to the south...
The light emitting lady shot something at Aceso, and missed, and DESTROYED the building behind him.
Made it to the river, and Durella was able to pull us back
Durella:
- this is the war
- this is what it was like before you got all got here...
- I doubt messages would work to contact anyone in Horsa... otherwise I would have helped you more
- I don't know "where they took you", but it wasn't here or anywhere I could reach you
- the "distance between the planes was not what it was"... it was pulled into the shadow itself

With the city of Horsa ripped from this plane, what will happen to the Moonwell?
What can be done to help Horsa, or those left behind?

Operation Details
We all make our ways down from our room, to the common area of the inn.
The bartender:
this has happened about 2/3 times before
usually lasts an hour or two... surprised it took this long
The longest it ever took:
before your lot was around... they say it lasted for days once
hard to find sleep at first. But uneasy... spotty at best...
most of us did manage to find sleep...
Aujirgix told us he heard:
- music
- screams of citizens
- cries of monsters
- things seem to be SLOWLY outside
- at least one creature in the sky
Bartender:
- as we came down, he was now stuttering and scared...
- "look, look: something is happening right there".
Faint shimmer of light:
- CRACK of lighting 15-20 feet from this building
- been fighting all night
Bar keep:
- intently watching outside...
- idiots -- all the others tried to leave this morning".
SOMETHING HITS THE BUILDING
the whole building shakes
tied each of our together just in-case
Lady Calliope flying COMES THROUGH THE DOOR
- creeping darkness makes it way inside
- on the edges are grasps hands of darkness

Calliope stands up!
- "MAKE FOR THE RIVER!"
drift globe only works to the edges of Aceso's aura
Falyer shoots into the darkness, and hits some sort of darkness humanoid
we were able to kill it
we hear a distant cry of Calliope from the darkness:
- "Kill him!" - must be other fighting going on
Aceso moves, and Tilson and Falyer are left slightly outside the aura
- the darkness seems to hurt them, and zap their strength... ensure they stay in the light
made our way to the stables... the horses are dead
Horsa soldiers run into the stables, and are amazed by the aura around Aceso
something overhead again... wings... ever present
- shade make to the edge of the light
all but 1 of the Horsa soldiers are murdered by an area attack by one of the monsters

Aujirgix
- found a house with a light
- made our way inside... since there seem to be dragons about
Bridges from roof to roof - the last Horsa soldier tell us about them
- on the roofs of the builds for security
made our way to the roof via a latch.
worried about falling through... but we made it all the way to the south of the chain of buildings connected via bridges
look to the west... see a radiant light
- seems to be silhouette of a women wearing a white dress... making her way through the darkness... emitting light through the darkness
- she is following us...
- make it to Erica's bakery
- has no idea who this white lady is outside
Horsa soldier leads us to the "Bakery", which he knew likely was protected from the darkness (warded)
door is locked
Falyer picks the lock, as a red-haired lady (Erica?) tries to attack
- dodges he attempts to stab him
Got inside, and she seemed scared of the dragonborn
- eventually she went and locked herself in a room
- found a latch to the roof in the back room
- Aceso went up out of the latch
The building to the south is in ruin...
- Aceso jumps out and down
- Everyone follows
- make our way a few steps south...
The "light emitting woman" appears in front of us to the south...

- looks fully human
Vanishes... and appears right in front of Aceso
- "what a lovely light..."
- tries to do something to Aceso... but fails
Tavvok tosses the dwarf away from her...

Aujirgix ran past Aceso into the river as well.
As things got dire, Tavvok got separated from the group... he sprinted toward the river through the darkness.
The light emitting lady shot something at Aceso, and missed, and DESTROYED the building behind him.
Aceso healed Falyer the best he could, and then sprinted the last 50 feet to the river.
The darkness dragon missed Falyer, and barely survived with any strength left... but he managed to sprint the last 60 feet into the river.
Faint Light of Lady Durella to Aceso:
- "I've got you!"
The strong current pulled us all away to the east.
The water somehow leads us to Durella's grove behind her cabin... no idea how.
- the pool behind her cabin is now only inches deep

- simply provided the conduit so that Aceso could produce the aura -- wasn't actually her doing it; it was him.
Based on this does it mean that Horsa has been possibly "lost to the shadow" (?)

- she had the ability to rip whole places into the shade
