The endless requests from the council see no end! The elders have ordered me to conjure and upkeep a permanent ward to protect Edheltol from foreign incantations. BAH! What incantations would those primitive beings cast upon us that we couldn’t deal with? THAT I COULDN’T DEAL WITH? Alas, after I complete this task my status as the most renowned sorcerer in the lands will be secured! “Justar; the protector of Iphine’s people! Two miracles in less than a year! Oh, what will he do next?”

Praise be Dorbaff! Many a sleepless night I have perfected my theory on this ward, and I believe I finally have all the answers I need! Since a reflective mirror is out of the question, simply absorbing the energies should be good enough. It was tricky to come up with a way to force the fickle arcane to stay put, loop back into the spell to fuel the magical aegis and the excess to bind to something neat enough for me to use as enough of it collects up. As impure as their magic may be, I can still use it for my own benefit. Those geezers back at the institute keep telling me that binding and storing magic is “not something to be trifled with” but how difficult could it really be? I am convinced that I have everything figured out! My plan is flawless!
I shall travel to the eastern coast immediately. I have a ritual site prepared, slightly north of the port town they plan on renaming after my previous heroics. There I have arranged that the locals do not interrupt my important work!
