Monarch
Each Tribe has a Monarch. The Monarch gets news on tribal level events, and has to sign off on tribal level actions to be done. The Monarch's duty is to better the Tribe, as dictated by sacred law. The Monarch has to get advice from their Kahunas of the apropriate discipline.
Qualifications
The Monarch had to have been educated in the Royal Class for at least 10 years before being chosen as heir by the previous Monarch.
Appointment
The Monarch must choose one person from the Royal Class, who will be their heir, and carve it on a boulder, and the carving is then covered in wax. Once the previous Monarch dies, resigns, or is deemed inadequate, the heir is revealed. They are crowned, and the news is spread. They may celebrate as they wish.
Responsibilities
The Monarch must name an heir according to the ritual, and maintain peace with the other tribes diplomatically. Their daily responsibilities are reading, replying to letters, which must be hand-written.
Benefits
According to Sacred Law, a Monarch can live in the palace with their family, get service from the best chefs and such, recieves offerings from all towns, have a small group of lovers, and live in enough luxury to satisfy them, but still not inhibit their ability to do their duty. they are guarded by royal guards, and supervised by the Kahunas.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Exquisite robes in the colour of their choosing, and a matching hat.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
A vote can be ordered from from the whole population. If over half of the population deem the Monarch inadequate, their heir will be appointed as the new Monarch.
