Minawii

Prompt
I want to adopt a cute pet in your world. What is it and how do I look after one?

Minawii are small, worm-like creatures with natural bioluminescence and irresistible charm. Over the years, wild Minawii have become increasingly rarer as the domesticated Minawii population has grown exponentially. This has been dealt with by a group who has declared their cause as thus: "Trap, Cuddle Carry, Release".   The group has proved true to their cause, trapping thousands of escaped domestic Minawii and having strong volunteer fliers such as Aolenus fly them to distant lands where other volunteers will take care of them and help control the population.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Minawii have six legs and a rather worm-like physique. Their tails can be up to ½ the length of their body.

Ecology and Habitats

Coral reefs are the natural habitat of the Minawii. The small creatures' vibrant colors blend perfectly with the coral around them.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Though Minawii are an omnivorous species, they much prefer to eat berries and plants as opposed to meat. They will resort to doing the latter if they must.

Additional Information

Domestication

Minawii are naturally passive even in the wild. They were quickly captured and bred as pets, and over time their features began to soften and change, eventually losing their feelers and bioluminescent tail. Minawii took the world by storm with their adorable faces and squeaks as creatures all over Agartha sought out pets of their own. They're easy to take care of due to being self-sufficient, but most Minawii owners will tell any inquirer that they're quite curious about whatever food(s) they're not supposed to eat.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Wing-shaped "feelers" on their heads allow Minawii to sense vibrations. Unfortunately, this often means fleeing as they're easy prey for anything larger than themselves (which is the majority of Sonaria's inhabitants).
