Murlk

The Murlk species was created by Stood_04 for the ROBLOX game Creatures of Sonaria. I do not claim credit for anything regarding this species aside from the content I have created for my fanfic.

Murlks are an amphibious species native to Sonaria's swamps. Their friendly, supportive nature has led to a reputation of being "the most befriendable species in Sonaria".
Upon reaching adulthood, both male and female Murlks are capable of secreting a special mucous that, when combined with mud, produces a healing agent with remarkable properties that is a catalyst in the healing process.
Despite being slow-to-anger healers by nature, a Murlk's wrath is so intense that it rivals the everyday fury of apex predators (such as a Jotunhel).
Due to Murlk's diet of algae and kelp, they often pick up quite a bit of bacteria on their teeth. While Murlks have evolved natural defenses against these bacteria, they [the bacteria] cause an infection in other creatures that is incredibly difficult to treat. For this reason, a Murlk's bite can be quite damaging, especially if it draws blood.
Due to their long, flat appearance and amphibious nature, Murlks are often called "sea pancakes". This nickname is one that they happily share with Chameis .

Murlks naturally inhabit the Eastern Swamp, although they are not particularly picky and will happily settle in the nearest body of water.

Many fierce, combative creatures such as the Kendyll and Jotunhel exploit Murlks' kind, helpful nature, using their mud to heal wounds inflicted by revenge-seeking creatures whose loved ones were killed without reason by the Kendyll or Jotunhel.
