Mauling

A small, poor freehold, Mauling puts itself on the map for being the primary fishery and exporter for skyfish from the Rime Sea. A town of fishers and common folk ruled by a local lord, few would think Mauling of any consequence... except for recent events having attracted focus of the scholastic community. With a storm having swelled out of the Tempest Ring and overarched into the Rime, where it gained power, a good portion of Mauling simply fell away into the Aethergale below. This event has attracted many magical specialists to the area out of curiosity. The residents of Mauling are ambivalent towards the newcomers at best, prefering to mourn and move on.
