Session 3: The Heist Report
General Summary
- Carric reads the notes he discovered from Alda Arkin's desk that correspond with the Obsidian Order.
- Learned about Alda dealing with Varren, most likely pawning off museum artifacts in secret.
- Last note is a cipher that reads "Alda, Full Moon. Giant Fire Beetles. Stay Safe. Varren"
- Dr. Dannell will try to follow up with information related to missing artifacts/gemstones and the Rogerson dig
- Party dresses in formal attire and enters the museum half hour prior to gala start time.
- Carric hides in the vent
- Zazall starts a fire in the attic
- Mumph and Lillian pose as guests
- Cerrick casts sleep on the two individuals inside the gemstone wing, and several guests in the dinosaur atrium, causing chaos.
- Carric grabs the Murkenmire Stone and re-enters the vent.
- Zazall fans the flames in the attic,
- Lillian pees on the floor to try and prevent Alda Arkin from making her way into the atrium.
- Zazall runs through the atrium yelling fire then climbs ontop the dinosaur and passes the bag of holding to Cerrick, Mumph yells and adds to the chaos, Lillian helps guests downstairs.
- Carric fumbles the bag of holding, hides the egg and bag under his cloak and the party makes their way within the crowd to the ground floor and out the entrance.
- Cerrrick gets the egg into the bag of holding.
- Sandguard arrives to begin assisting with the fire.
- The party goes to Dune's End tavern and meets Dr. Dannell, who puts the egg in the crystal box. The egg dims and is incapacitated.
- Dr. Dannell will head to Luminara Institue of Arcane in Miran within the Silvanus Forest.
- Dr. Dannell invites the party back to her humble home to discuss the details.
- Players debrief and receive five gp each.
- Dr. Dannell recommends discussing the impending fire beetles with the Liera Sandguard and Helm's Guard Guild.
- Players head to The Wanderer's Rest Inn, a comfortable inn located near the center-city oasis.
