Grand Abjurator Juan Diego-Vasquez
Master Juan Diego-Vasquez
Grand Abjurator of The Arcanium, master and chief researcher in the field of defensive and denial magic and holder of the Council seat for Abjuration. They belong to no political faction, claiming that being a part of Imperial politics would be poor of him given their background as a foreigner. Despite this, they are key in ending gridlock within the factions, and many suggest his neutrality might be a front to ensure their power as the balance of power.

Accomplishments & Achievements
Originally a graduate of Leon's Wizard Conclave in Alilla of which he graduated valedictorian, they were invited to present his research in The College of Lore in Nova Edren. After doing so, he fell in love with the city and the Arcanium, finding it more willing and capable of founding their research and joined as a professor, the only council member not to graduate at the Arcanium itself. They would finalize their great rune project, a protective layer of magic circles insuring no magical effects cast within the Arcanium could spread to the rest of the floating isle. Along with that they would create famous spells such as Juan's Undivineable Ward, and Juan's Mind Blank. Though a recent member of the council, their respectable research and political neutrality has proven a boon to the Arcanium.
They would also win "Student's choice for Best Professor to Party With."
Failures & Embarrassments
Many news papers have chronicled his tendency to party their funds away, choosing to live among the students either by a lack of money, or a lack of interest in the great mansions of the other mages. Some have accused him of being a spy of the Kingdom of Leon, noting that a specialist in abjuration makes for the perfect spy. They deny this claiming such a thing is racist at a fundamental way.
