Chotika

The Chotikra evolved in the upper layers of Pokot’s jungle canopy. They are somewhat batlike in appearance, mostly due to their large membraned wings. Appearance Chotikra are covered in short iridescent fur, with a longer ruff around their neck. That’s right: fur. Not hair. These dudes shed. Their color ranges from green to blue to purple, often all three on one individual. Chotikra have dark-rimmed eyes similar to Old Earth lemurs, and small but expressive ears. Their large, batlike wings come in two broad categories: short and rounded for jungle dwellers, long and thin for seafarers.

History

There are two main types of Chotikran, the jungle dwellers and the island hoppers. The two of them interact no more with each other than they interact with the Naza. Chotikra first evolved in the upper canopy from flying insectivores, in parallel to the land-bound Naza. Chotikra and Naza borrowed from one another, religious keystones being a major example of this. They also share a language and trade between their societies frequently.
