Fouree
The Fouree aren’t a central organization as much as they are an ethnic group. They are descended from human colonists that landed on Rorrif. Their secluded ways and mysterious traditions make them nothing short of a race of monks. Fouree live on the gentle slopes of Fourin Mountain, tending to their farmlands and sheep.
Fouree are of average size and weight for humans, and variance is found among their population as expected. Due to their light diet, they are usually on the leaner side than their cheeseburger-eating kin. They have dark tan skin and thick, curly hair. Men grow beards that cover almost their entire faces. Tattoos aren’t readily available, but a number of piercings are.
Descendants of the first Master are occasionally born with blonde or white hair. These children are usually chosen to be the next leaders. Heirs born with dark hair often bleach it once they ascend to their position. Masters also wear metal circlets with a ram’s horns attached, for it is legend that the First was born with horns.
Culture
Shared customary codes and values
Due to the size of the moon they live on, Fouree carefully manage their own populations so that they don't overcrowd. They leave a few people worth of buffer in case visitors arrive. Tourism is out of the question, but the Fouree do allow visitors in small numbers from time to time as long as they respect their traditions. Outsiders who pledge to live as Fouree are allowed to join permanently, but children that show contempt for the way of life are expelled from the moon, even if they were born and raised there.
The moon-wide leadership is spread across districts among the “royal family” of sorts. The village heads are known as Master Weavers, and are all descended from the first Master. The Masters are responsible for keeping the greatest secrets of the Fouree: ancient legends, oral history, but most importantly the secret techniques used for creating textiles.
Common Dress code
heir fabrics are well-known and highly sought after galaxy-wide. They are known for their vivid colors and complex patterns. Lightweight ponchos are popular, usually worn with sandals and some kind of short, loose pants. Lower legs will be wrapped with strips of fabric or fur in colder weather, fur-lined boots are worn, light ponchos will be switched out for heavier woollen ones, and bright wool hats are added to the ensemble.
