Cirelian Traditional Fashion

Cirelian traditional fashion is rooted in Cirelian history, with most people at least having some aspect of traditional clothing in their wardrobe especially when it comes to formal wear. These traditional outfits have lots of layers, long flowy sleeves, and cape-like outer garments.   Base clothing tends to be made to be pulled over the head to be put on or off; whereas over clothing tends to have an opening at the middle of the chest and is pulled on that way, brooches and pins may be used to keep over garments more secure.

Clothing

Base layer

Cirelian traditional clothing often involves a long upper body garment and a set of bottoms, either a skirt or pants. Dresses are also an option for base clothing and may be worn over a pair of pants.

Outer layer

Cape-like outer garments are common for traditional cirelian outfits. These cape-like garments, especially a modern jacket version -which is worn for formal wear- are very popular not only for government officials but also for regular people, although this style has been heavily modified and modernized from the original design. These cape-like jackets have wide sleeves and fall to varying lengths with the more traditional and historical forms being full-length.

Shoes

Traditional shoes have mostly been replaced by modern mass-produced shoes, with formal dress shoes or heels being worn with traditional clothing.

Headgear

Halo Headdress

The most common Cirelian traditional headdress is shaped like a halo and was often worn by women in historical times, especially by noble and upper-class cirelians; this headdress may still be worn but it is considered a formal item and is not very common anymore.   A modernized adaption of this is a less elaborate headpiece that sticks up slightly over the head. This version is often worn for formal wear.

Hairstyles

Traditionally cirelian hairstyles involve lots of braids, buns, and braid loops. These styles are mostly worn for formal occasions or by people who are particularly attached to Cirelian traditions. Many feminine hairstyles involve some sort of flower-like motif, most often through the use of buns.   The more historical styles involve a lot more braids than the more modernized versions, which have been streamlined. These historical hairstyles also involved a lot more hair accessories and decoration than the modern versions do.

Jewelry

Traditional cirelian fashion tends to focus more on decorative fabrics and embroidery than the wearing of jewelry, but jewelry may still be worn with earrings and rings being extremely common with other forms of jewelry like bracelets and necklaces being common in more modern variations.
