Emallia Kurren

Emallia Kurren (nee Neva) is a middle-aged Cirelian woman and the mother of Noella and Nevin Kurren. After the sudden and tragic death of her husband some fifteen years ago, Emallia has suffered from poor health and mental instability.

Physiological Description

Emallia is a small and sickly-looking woman, standing at 5ft 8in, with a skinny almost emancipated look. She has fair skin that is quite pale due to her ill health. She has short shoulder-length, greying brown hair. She has a thin oval face, blue eyes, and early signs of aging like wrinkles.

Clothing Style

Emallia doesn’t put much effort into her clothing, tending to just wear the same clothes she wears every day most of which are older and from when she was healthier so it doesn’t always fit her well. She wears lots of sweaters and prefers slippers over normal shoes.

Personal History

Emallia was born on Cirelia to a family of average means; she has a sister, Leda. She met her eventual husband, Brennen Kurren, as a young adult and the couple had two children Noella and Nevin.
Unfortunately, her husband died in a horrible workplace accident caused by a mechanical malfunction. Emallia reacted horribly to the news of her husband's death, having to take a leave of absence from work while she recovered.
She and her family struggled for a while after his death, and Emallia didn’t take as good of care of herself as she should have, leading to her mental and physical health declining. Due to this, her sister, Leda, moved in to help the family.
Her shock at her husband's death caused Emallia to have a nervous breakdown and left her with prolonged mental instability.

Education

Emallia got her primary and secondary education from a local school on Cirelia. For post-secondary education, she went to school to become a nurse.

Employment

Emallia worked as a nurse before her poor mental and physical health caused her to retire early.

Personality Characteristics

Emallia is a kind and cheerful person, but her bubbly personality has been diluted over time due to her age and poor mental health. She can get quite confused and foggy-minded due to her mental health and sometimes forgets things and stuff that happens.
