Plague Memorial

The Plague Memorial is a monument located on Athea built to honor and remember those who died in the plague of 2235 AGC which killed many on the planet and throughout the Galactic Coalition. The Memorial was built in 2246 AGC, four years after the plague was officially declared over in 2242 AGC.
The memorial is located in the Planet Federal District, near the government's Institute of Health Center, in a small park that is open to visitors.

Architecture

The memorial is an abstract pyramid of linear structures that are bent with an outward curve. A Stele sits under the pinnacle of the pyramid. The Stele is engraved with words of remembrance regarding the pandemic and its victims.
Underneath, the pyramid is paved with stone allowing visitors to walk up to and under the pyramid. The pathways and paved areas are surrounded by small garden plots filled with flowers and trees.
