Troni Lizard
Troni Lizards are a reptile native to Thunus, often kept as pets.
Appearance
Troni lizards are small light lizards, normally around six or seven inches including the tail, with yellowish scales and darker markings. They have four legs each with six clawed digits on each hand. They have small dark eyes and long serpent-like necks. They also have loose flaps of skin stretching from their limbs to their abdomens. They have distinguished spikes on their brows, which sometimes can just look like bumps in older lizards. The Males have short spikes on the bottom of their chins as well as having more prominent brow spikes, Females also tend to have bigger abdomens than the males.Biology
Diet
Troni Lizards eat a diet of mostly bugs, but may also eat baby rodents that they can find or small fish or other small reptiles. They do most of their hunting at night or in the early morning when they are most active. They may also eat fruit if they can get their hands on it.Behavior
Troni Lizards are Crepuscular meaning they are most active around evening time and early morning when they can avoid most predators and catch their food. They can use their arms to climb up and hold onto things using the small claws at the end of them, and as mentioned earlier they have flaps of skin on their limbs which they can use to “fly” or rather glide short distances. Troni Lizards make their nests high up, often using grass and leaves in the construction, making them in the crooks of branches and on cliff faces from which they can easily glide off. They mate for life, returning to mate with the same partner every breeding season. After mating the couple parts ways and the female goes off to lay her eggs in a burrow. The mother waits until the eggs hatch and the hatchlings are old enough to fend for themselves before leaving. The hatchlings often are able to fend for themselves once they reach adolescence which takes around six to eight months, and reach full maturity around the one-year mark.Uses
Troni Lizards are not used for much, though historically they had been used in food and as bait for hunting bigger prey, nowadays they are mostly kept around as pets with the lizards being very popular on many planets as pets and most zoos have an exhibit of Troni Lizards.
