Space Story

I wanted to write science fiction set in a not-to-distant future, where vestiges of our current technology are still visible. Think somewhere between CoD: Ghosts and Infinite Warfare. Those two games were really my first immersion into the kind of science fiction I adore. I had watched some Star Trek and Star Wars before, but never anything non-mainstream.   This world (and the writings set within it) exist for two main reasons: one, to scratch my creative itch by combining technological writing with fiction, mostly of the short story variety; and two, to wet my feet in learning how to properly write stories (with a focus on science fiction).   As it currently stands, I haven't entirely decided what the detailed backstory of this universe is and who the major players are. I'm really just throwing in some ideas I have bouncing around my head and seeing what comes out.   Kinda like the Power Puff Girls, but with less Chemical X and more vacuum.
