Dawn of Chronos

The creation of Chronos is shrouded in mystery and confusing to even the brightest minds of the modern time. The creation of artificial intelligence began while humanity was still on earth, though it was rudimentary and basic when compared to what would eventually become Chronos. Studies into realspace and the folding of cosmic filaments that were left behind by the big bang. These filaments, it is poised, are slipstreams of paracasual time and space. Scientists found that the best way to “crunch” the math of these filaments was by developing increasingly more capable AI. Chronos was born from these advanced computers.
At some point, Chronos spontaneously manifested. It is hypothesized that the AI that were studying the cosmic filaments theorized the eventuality of the creation of a unrestricted, conscious, sentient and sapient. It immediately latched into the Net, and spread its tendrils quickly. The Chronos event, combined with the psionic scream, directly led to the shutdown of the gates.
