Mid Rim Unrest

For over a decade, violence and extremist movement continues to escalate as Republican forces and their corporate allies clamp down even harder on outer-rim territories. The core worlds become increasingly wealthier due to their resource extraction of the outer rim.
Piracy and attacks on corporate entities are commonplace, while arrests of those opposing the republican government go up, pushing them into corpo-owned prisons as essentially slave labor. This circle of violence continues for years.
The divide culminates when radical separatists bomb the Republican senate on New Babylon, telling the politicians "it is no senate of ours."
