Rust

Also known as the Jet Fuel, Red Rage, or just Rage. Rust is a drug that is created with the byproducts used in the construction of starships, the byproduct of jet fuel, and all other manner of toxic chemicals. It is not certain where Rust was originally created, but it has spread far and wide throughout the galaxy. It's creation relies on the readily available toxic sludge made by companies dumping their waste.
This waste is reprocessed in dedicated labs, hidden away in obvious sight. They seperate the correct toxins from the substance, and create a threaded rope like "fuse" that can be consumed in all manner of ways. It is highly addictive and dangerous, but it can give the user a euphoric rush that makes them near unstopable in short bursts. Because of its ease to make, it is hard for any one organization to control its production, and despite it being illegal on most civilized worlds, authorities struggle to control its production.
