The Founding of the Empire results in the first Imperial war. Hundreds of systems rise up against the empire, trying to preserve the republic. They are eventually beaten back and forced into Free Space where they found the republican remnant. The Empire, unable to fully capture Straatos and beaten back by the Union of Socialist Systems, is forced to make peace with both of the governments while they deal with more growing unrest in the Mid Rim.
