- Solar: The leaders of the sect. Very accomplished masters of their form and specialties. There exist only 12 Solars at a time. They collectively make all the important decisions for the sect.
- Sunkeeper: The legendary knights who wield the sun and bring its light into the dark.
- Flare: The warrior branch of the sect. Knights errant. They answer to a Sunkeeper. Once they unlock the puzzle box they must under go The Forgeing. If they are successful they become a Sunkeeper.
- Pyre: Keepers of the dead and scholars of the sect. Equivalent to Sunkeeper.
- Ash: Support branch of the Sect. Followers of Ash seek a more peaceful path than the Flares. They care for the temples and hideouts, study lore, act as messengers, and help the common folk adjust/rebuild after a Sunkeeper or Solar cause massive change. They answer to the Pyres. Once an Ash fills their tome with lore they become a Pyre.
- Ember: A young humanoid that now begins their training under two masters. One is a Pyre, the other a Sunkeeper. Their training takes them across various worlds. Once both teachers believe the Ember is ready to step out on their own, they present them with two gifts and two paths. A blank tome and the Path of Ash or a puzzle box and the Path of Flame.
- Kindling: A child that has begun training with the Hagvyr-om. They study exclusively at the temples and our trained by various masters.
