Spatria

The equator of the world is an impenetrable ring of Ice causing the northern and southern hemispheres to completely separated from each other. People on both sides believe this barren zone of frost and death to be the edge of creation with nothing beyond. The poles meanwhile experience tropical conditions developing rain forests and having higher temperatures, though being more hospitable to living creatures than the equatorial ring of frost. Each hemisphere can almost be viewed as it's own distinct world.   The northern hemisphere features three main continents. The first of these continents is home to a smattering of kingdoms and fiefdoms. While almost perpetually at each others throats these kingdoms will not tolerate the meddling of those from outside their continent. All attempts at invasion have been met with temporary alliances among all kingdoms until the invaders have been repelled. The second continent house the hemispherical superpower, an empire of truly awe inspiring size. This empire controls the most land of any power on this side of the icy barrier.
