War of the Prophets
The Conflict
Prelude
This war is the result of a disastrous economic situation which reigned within the Kingdom for twenty years. Widespread corruption was also prevalent in public administration which most of the time made it completely ineffective. All these problems lead to an underlying dissatisfaction of the population towards the higher authorities. The leader of the rebellion will use this underlying discontent to build up a loyal army with the help of the onatachs who gave him weapons and materials. Thanks to the money of all the members pooled, he also succeeds in building up a impressive personal fleet. Several militias will also join the leader of the rebellion which will greatly increase these ranks. Fail to see what was in preparation, the high religious authorities of the kingdom were completely surprised by the ultimatum sent to them by the leader of the rebellion who ordered them to surrender unconditionally.
Underestimate the leader's military power during the first months of the war the government was unable to break the momentum of the rebellion, culminating two years after the start of the war at the First Battle of Goz which was a terrible defeat for the government. What was left of this one had to flee to the north of the territory and decided to install a line of defense to prevent the rebels from advancing further. This situation remained more or less the same until the intervention of the Republic five years later which gave an undeniable advantage to the government. The President at the time wanted to intervene at the start of the war since the Republic had discovered the maneuvers of the onatachs and considered the Holy Kingdom of Katho in their sphere of influence. In addition, he wanted to open the Holy Kingdom of Katho more to trade with the Republic to compete with the Zelvan Council by intending to use the intervention as leverage to request trade guarantees.
However, he knew that he did not have enough popular and political support to get this intervention passed in the Parliament. The Republic discovering that the onatachs were seriously beginning to consider an intervention, since he was already supporting the official government in his fight and negotiating with him in this direction. To derail the talks, the government passed on information regarding Onatach support to the rebels, which successfully prevented any Onatach maneuvers. However, the official government, apart from categorically refusing any onatach intervention in retaliation, did not block the essential support sent to it by the Onatach Empire and did everything not to damage too much the relationship with it since the trade with this entity was essential for them.
This greatly irritated the Republic, which had wished with this action to limit the relationship between the Holy Kingdom of Katho, but a new fear appeared for the Republican strategists, who feared that the onatachs would step in and then impose conditions on the government. To change public opinion, the government had revealed all the information about Onatach interference to the public and the Parliament shortly after telling the Kingdom government. Thanks to this, the federal government succeeded in having the Parliament vote for military intervention during the year 2349 thanks to the support of the Republican Party which was more interventionist.
The negotiations with the Holy Kingdom of Katho on the specifics led to an agreement around the middle of the year 2350, but the preparations of the Navy staggered until the beginning of 2351 when the military operation officially began. The other members of the AAQ supported the intervention of the Republic without directly participating in it since they considered that the conflict did not concern them. The Republic's intervention completely changed the balance of power in the conflict, the Navy defeated the rebellion in several key battles that led to the death of the rebel leader in the Second Battle of Goz. The government could then be put back in place, but it took another couple of months before definitively defeating the remnants of the rebellion.
Deployment
During the Civil War, military deployments were primarily government-loyal militias, those on the rebel side as well as the rebel leader's personal fleet and planetary forces which will be used by all belligerents. The Republic's intervention also led to the deployment of a Republic Navy's fleet towards the end of the war and several armies of the Marine Force for planetary operations which will be led by it.
Battlefield
The theater of action of this war will be mainly planetary and space, planetary with the combat between the rebels as well as the government forces and the two planetary invasions carried out by the Republic on Xarti and Goz. More minor land combats will also be conducted by the two belligerents, but they will mainly be located on asteroids, minor planets and other places of strategic importance in environments closer to space context than a planetary one. There were the three major battles of the war on the space theater side and other minor battles between rebels as well as government forces.
The Engagement
Four major battles took place during the Civil War, the first being the First Battle of Goz which saw government and rebel forces clash for control of Goz. This battle saw the rebels victorious which forced the government forces to fall back behind a line of defense that they would hold until the republican intervention. They also lost a large part of their strength which put them in excitement with the rebel forces forcing them to adopt a defensive attitude. The second is the Battle of Xarti which saw the Republic victorious, this battle opposed the Republic Navy and rebel forces in orbit and on the surface of Xarti and spread over five days.
After entering the territory of the Holy Kingdom of Katho, the Republican forces set out for Xarti with the aim of capturing her as soon as possible. Anticipating this move on the part of the Republic, the rebels had attempted to reinforce the forces in orbit and on the ground. Unfortunately, despite their preparations, these could not cope with the numerical and technological advantage of the Navy which defeated the rebels in orbit of Xarti in barely a day. It is however the planetary battle which was more difficult, the rebels opposed a strong resistance to the Marine who suffered important losses. However, cut off from supply, outnumbered, having no orbital support and no air support. They finally surrendered after three weeks of hard fighting, the Republican victory opening the road to the capital, Goz.
The third is the Battle of Bhelgmem who saw which saw the Republic victorious at a heavy price, this battle opposed the Expeditionary Fleet and rebel forces in orbit and on the surface of Bhelgmem and spread over six days. This battle was extremely bloody for the Marines who, despite the relatively easy victory in orbit, had to face even fiercer resistance than on Xarti. Fortunately, after approximatly one month of bloody fighting and with the help of local loyalist forces hiding from the rebels, the Republic finally managed to take the planet. The fourth and last battle is the day-long Second Battle of Goz between government forces as well as the Expeditionary Fleet and the rest of the rebel fleet. Indeed, after the rebel defeat at Xarti and Bhelgmem, the government forces succeeded in breaking through the rebel front and reaching the Medgar system where they joined forces with the Republican forces.
Possessing an overwhelming numerical advantage, the battle was won within hours and the leader of the rebellion was killed when his flagship exploded. The land battle was also easily won given the low morale after the death of their leader. This battle led to the unconditional surrender of the rebellion which surrendered to government forces except some of the space forces who will manage to escape at the end of the battle. These forces will fight the government in a skirmish that will last another year before the rebellion ceases definitively.
Outcome
The direct consequence of this war is to considerably weaken the Holy Kingdom of Katho which is devastated after seven years of civil war and is no longer considered as a power by other political entities whereas it was considered as a middle power before the war. The Republic side on the other side is gaining galactic prestige for having defeated the rebellion so quickly and securing its southern border because it is clear that the Holy Kingdom of Katho is no longer in danger of attacking the Republic.
Aftermath
The war will lead to an improvement in relations between the Republic and the Holy Kingdom of Katho in the long term which will lead to the signing of a trade pact a few years after the war. This will also strengthen the diplomatic weight of the Republic because the war allowed to show the military power of this one.
Historical Significance
This war definitely marked the partial passage of the Holy Kingdom of Katho under the influence of the Republic even if this fact will always be disputed by the Onatach Empire which has an important influence thanks to their trade with the Holy Kingdom of Katho. The Republic will also gain a lot of prestige from this war thanks to its intervention which will be crowned with success with the total defeat of the rebels.
Legacy
This war will deeply traumatize the Kedeshi people by its demographic and material cost which is estimated that at least 3% of the Kedeshi population will die in this war. The fact that the Navy defeated the rebellion in such a short time will bring about a change of mentality on the side of the Republic. The citizens will begin to consider their armed forces as almost invincible and will therefore be less afraid of onatachs because being sure that the Navy will be able to repel them in the event of an attack.
Technological Advancement
This war made it possible to test in real conditions some important technologies which were adopted by the armed forces after the war. New classes of ships were also developed after the war to fill gaps that had been observed during battles.

Strength
The central government of the Holy Kingdom of Katho has a very relative military power, the government does not in fact have any armed forces as such. He therefore had to rely on militias who lent him allegiance, which made his military power very precarious. At the start of the war, the central government had an advantage in numbers, but catastrophic strategic decisions will rally part of the loyalist militias to the rebels. This will decrease its military power, which will come in excess of that of the rebels. The balance of power will however be completely reversed when the Republic decides to intervene. This camp can then count on an overwhelming firepower compared to the rebels.
The True Faith Restauration Front was, at the start of the war, outnumbered, but the tactical genius of their leader enabled them to achieve an important victory. These victories will cause part of the government militias to desert, which will join the rebels, which will bring about a shift in the balance of power which will return to equality. The intervention of the Republic will however condemn the rebels who cannot compete with the firepower of the Republic.
Casualties
The losses on the government side will be very heavy, it is estimated that 1/3 forces loyal to the government were destroyed in this war. On the side of the Republic, which will come to the aid of the central government, the losses will be slight because the rebel militias will not stand up to the Navy. Even though the Zelvan Council and the Myrran Trade Union are technically at war with the rebels. They will have no loss because they will not actively participate in the conflict given the distance that separates them from the Holy Kingdom of Katho, they will be content to support the intervention of the Republic.
The losses of the True Faith Restoration Front have been catastrophic, almost all of these forces were destroyed in the war. Mainly during the Battle of Goz which will see the annihilation of the majority of what remained of the rebel forces.
Objectives
The main objective of this camp is to eliminate the rebellion and to retake the territory that the rebels occupy.
The objective of the rebellion is to seize power and reform the government because the leader of the rebellion judges that the high religious authorities have strayed from the true faith.
