Despair
She dropped to her knees, screaming. Her heart ached and her shoulders felt heavy. The weight of the world is weighing down on her now.
“Make a choice!” A voice snapped.
“I can’t!” The girl cried. Her nails dug into the carpet of her house. The bear beneath her was staring back at her. He begged her to choose. He knew she would be all alone if she didn’t listen to the man.
“Make a choice.” The voice hissed again.
“I choose myself!” The girl screamed.
The man was not expecting that answer. But she made her choice. He lifted the girl by the back of her shirt and walked back into the clock with her.
