Therialian noble Houses

There are 4 main aristocratic families, named for the Dragons Therialians are supposedly descended from. As a reptile mammal hybrid this legend could be based on truth. Although dragons are thought to be legendary, never truly existing in the real world of Therialia. Or anywhere for that matter.   The ruling House   The House of Zolotoy Drakon is also known as the House of the Golden Dragon, or the Golden House. There have been challenges to their leadership which they have squashed with no mercy and military force.     The Challengers   The House of Golubogo Drakon is also known as the House of the Blue Dragon, or the Blue House. This family has been a powerful instigator of revolt and war for centuries. The King usually has children of the Duke live in the royal castle as part of their education and a subtle threat that if war is declared the children could be forfeit.     The Diplomats   The House of Zelenogo Drakon is also known as the House of the Green Dragon, or the Green House. This family has a history of diplomatic ties with allies and making enemies friends is part of their culture. They have never openly sided against the royal family, although some side characters may have.     The Turncoats   The House of Krasnogo Drakona is also known as the House of the Red Dragon, or the Red House. This family tends to side with whoever seems more likely to win in any military conflict. Past Kings have dealt harshly with this family for betrayal.
