  The dwarven mining ship was designed and built by the Whitebeard dwarves, a secretive clan of mountain dwarves who live onboard the Whitestone citadel, which lies hidden among the asteroids of the Tears of Selûne in Realmspace. Every winter, when Whitestone is closest to the planet Toril, the Whitebeard dwarves descend to Mount Hotenow to mine precious ores long depleted on their asteroid home. The secluded Neverwinter Mountains, including Mount Hotenow, are rich in gems and metal ores, including mithral. A dwarven mining ship resembles a small sailing ship, although it is somewhat squat compared to terrestrial designs, and has three overly robust masts. The stern castle appears to have three tiered levels, with a heavy weapon turret on the upper deck.
