Balloon Armor

Many landbound races have dreamt of flying. In this regards, goblins  are no different. What is different is that they looked at advanced in aviation and came up with the idea of combining a set of armor with a simple inflation engine and a big balloon. The resulting armor is used by goblins to get the high ground advantage and the drop on their enemies, sometimes literally.
The downsides to the armor is that once the balloon has been inflated, one is at the mercy of the winds. Movement can be somewhat controlled by letting the air out in different directions, though such sudden spurts of speed can make aiming a pain. Landing is done either by slowly waiting for the air to run out, which can take a while, or to let it out early and quickly, for rapid descent.
The armor has not taken off with many other races, but it remains a stable among goblins and has become a favored tool for goblin assassins to increase their mobility.

Manufacturing process

The armor and balloon components are usually created by two separate smiths, who then combine them to assemble the final product.

Raw materials & Components
