Battle Dreadnought
The battle dreadnought is the most common of their kind, a refined version of the first prototype created decades ago. They come armed with cannons, machine-guns, long range artillery cannons and rocket launchers. Their front part can open to allow them to use both a set of grinders, which can easily turn enemy soldiers into mincemeat in seconds, and a massive harpoon cannon for dragging in more stubborn opponents. Each battle dreadnought also comes equipped with a powerful and customizable weapon called a M.A.S.T.(Modular Alpha Strike Technology), though most soldiers just refer to it as the super weapon. This massive weapon can be customized for individual mission, be it for laying down a city wall with a single shot or scouring an entire battalion with a blast of fire. However, while powerful the weapon is so energy costly that post firing, the dreadnought operates at notable diminished capacity. It's also powerful enough that the recoil hasa habit of cracking internal parts, necessitating repairs. Thus, the M.A.S.T. is fired only after due consideration.
As imposing as it is, the battle dreadnought does move with little haste. On the defensive side, they are completely reliant on the capability of their plating, as they have no capacity for evasive manouvering.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Battle dreadnoughts are massive engines of war, moving on massive threads. A number of weapons bristles from its sides and top, with the front part capable of swinging open to reveal a massive set of grinders. These grinders can convert metal into raw material for some measure of self-repair, though opening up does expose the dreadnought's inner workings. It's crystalline core is the centre of its existence and can be transferred to another dreadnought should the current body suffer a complete breakdown.
Genetics and Reproduction
Battle dreadnought's do not reproduce
Ecology and Habitats
Like most dreadnought's, the involvement of a battle dreadnought can mark a land for years. The machine is big enough to grind most trees to splinters underneath it and the sheer amount of firepower is sure the leave plenty of craters.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Battle dreadnaughts require fuel. Coal driven furnaces are the most common engines.

Average Intelligence
As with most dreadnoughts, the soul transferred to the crystalline heart is usually accomplished military personnel of high rank and thus dreadnoughts display high tactical skill and awereness.
